Shirey Cemetery is located in Union Township Section 16 Township 76 Range 20. It is easiest accessed by walking 1/4 mile east from the T intersection of Hoover Street and 92nd Avenue or by vehicle through the fields in ideal conditions 1/2 mile west from 100th Avenue. This should only be done when the crops are out in late fall, winter, and early spring. The parcel number is 2351400100.​

Now treeless, with ground so rough that to mow a weed whacker is necessary, this site was restored by the MCPCC with a new fence and signage in 2012. There are seven stones remaining, all of them with the last name of Shirey and buried between 1857 and 1894. The deed for this spot describes it in the northwest corner of 40 acres, excepting a parcel of 165' x 165', but the site is now fenced and is about 40'x40'.
